Alison + Nicholas

ANCHORED IN ROMANCE

Adventures in love, by land & by sea

Nick and Alison met while studying abroad on a cruise ship at Semester at Sea, a program that transports students around the world while they take courses and—in some cases—meet the love of their lives. Says, Alison, “He was the first person I met on the ship, and we were inseparable since! “ They chose our venue for their wedding since Alison is from the Boston area and was raised attending a church in Cambridge, a town the pair adores for its “charm and authentic feel.” After a sensational celebration with family and friends, the newlyweds spent a night in the Presidential Suite before honeymooning at Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana.

Memorable Details

On the wedding day, Alison woke up extra early (“so excited to marry the most incredible man in the world”) and ordered a coffee and croissant, which she enjoyed while taking in the beautiful view of Boston from her Presidential Suite window.

Alison’s gown, designed by Maggie Sottero, came from Kleinfeld in NYC, and Nick’s tux came from Men’s Warehouse. Alison wanted everyone to feel included, so she had each bridesmaid do something to help with the “getting ready process.”

The couple held a traditional Armenian ceremony at Holy Trinity Armenian Church in Cambridge. They had two wedding bands play for their big day—one American and one Armenian. They wanted the celebration of their love to be very personal, so they incorporated an abundance of globes and sunflowers throughout.
